WordPress Leeds is a monthly meetup for people interested in WordPress. The meetups are open to anyone who uses WordPress in any capacity. Our attendees tend to be developers, bloggers, designers or people interested in learning more about WordPress. Come along and network with others.

There are 5 organisers, Matt, Samantha, Tim, Dave and Steph. We are all volunteers and run the meetup in our spare time.

Every month we cover a different topic and before the event we publish what is going to be happening. Our meetups are open to anyone and we hold them at Platform in Leeds city centre.

Meetup Details

We publish details on Meetup.com & Twitter and we also send notifications to our newsletter subscribers. (signup in the footer)

Our meetings run from 6 – 8:30 and after each meetup we tend to continue discussions in a local pub. Many of us drive, so there will be plenty of soft drinks.

The format of each meeting is generally the same each month. Doors open at 6 and we have pizza and drinks then then at 6:15 the evening starts with some WordPress news and the first speaker starts at 6:30.

The room we use in the Bruntwood offices is on the first floor (access via lift or stairs). Just report to security at the entrance and they will direct you. Please arrive by 6:15 for the event so we can let you in.

Would you like to speak at our meetup? We welcome speakers on all topics as long as it’s somehow related to WordPress. In the past we have had speakers covering; WP CLI, Blogging with WordPress, SEO, Copyright issues, Images in WordPress. We have also had ‘case study’ talks with the most recent being Kat Reeve’s talk and simple ‘show and tells’ where people show what they have been working on.
